OUR GOALWe educate and inspire using a warm, interactive atmosphere to get young kids start thinking like young programmers! |
A Quote from a past mother
"Our son has always had an interest in coding and robotics. Attending these classes has given him an opportunity to learn in a very warm and encouraging environment. Interacting with older students who have similar interests has really helped him feel comfortable and look forward to learning. He always looks forward to the next class. It's fantastic to have access to this kind of educational environment and staff."
we are a big family
Code One Programming is a team of students from Leland High School located in San Jose Robotics team Quixilver 604 joined forces with an on-campus club Leland WiSTEM (Women in STEM), we have created a partnership, creating mentorship opportunities and inclusion among peers.
now let's work our plan
We are also nonprofit! All of our class is 100% free--even if they are an AP Prep Course! All of our workshops have one teacher and several teacher assistants. As the teacher lectures at the front of the room, the TA’s facilitate and not only provide additional support, but foster a more engaging learning experience.
it's up to us to create change
Currently we have over 400 sign ups and we strive to keep teaching as many students as possible. The workshops we run each teach a different facet of programming and each at a different level of complexity. Having expanded to multiple campuses, we are proudly establishing partnerships with venues such as the Public Libraries of San Jose.
